Nice eh.
I really enjoyed this book
And, by the way
when he says “don’t believe yourself”
He’s talking about the mind bit of yourself,
– not the other clever bit that knows everything.
Mr Ruiz explains why our minds think so much stupid wrong stuff
all the time,
and he has some ideas about how to start ignoring it
so you can get on and live your life
not the one in your head based on all the lies.
And he reminds us it’s not about being judgmental about it either.
It’s just what happens.
(I listened to the abridged audio – it’s two and a half hours
and made for a relaxing few evenings listening!)
PS: Thanks to the wonders of wily time machines
this post is being published at 7am Friday 16th September.
Which is exactly the same time I board a plane
bound for my first ever trip to the US (yippee)
and also the same time I touch down in Los Angeles
after a 19 hour flight.
I was telling a friend yesterday
how I’d gone and booked some crazy flight that goes to Australia first
(which is completely heading in the wrong direction for 4 hours),
and he told me he once did 37 hours in transit
which makes my little trip look like a Sunday drive to the dairy.
PPS: I have a pimple.
Which hardly almost never get
(like once a year).
I reckon it must be an excitement pimple.
See you from the other side of the world!
